Texas Continuing Education Requirements:
OTA: 24 hrs biennially - Texas Accepts 24 hours of Online Continuing Education Courses
CE is due by the end of licensee's birthmonth every 2 years based on the date of original license
Each continuing education activity may be counted only one time in two renewal cycles or a total of four years
Special Requirements:
Human Trafficking for Texas Healthcare Practitioners
Health care practitioners who provide direct patient care must complete an approved human trafficking prevention training course in order to renew their license/ ChiroCredit.com/OnlineCE.com offers a course to meet this requirement that has been approved by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) and meets all required HHSC Human Trafficking Training Standard.
This course meets the State TX Human Trafficking requirement.

Continuing Education Requirements by NBCOT
The National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) is the national governing body responsible for credentialing Occupational Therapists (OTR) and Occupational Therapy Assistants (OTA). In order to maintain current certification as an OTR or OTA, therapists must meet all NBCOT continuing education (CE) requirements. A total of thirty-six (36) professional development units during a three year cycle are required. A maximum of 36 hours can be obtained through OnlineCE.com Online Continuing Education Courses.
