Texas Accepts ChiroCredit.com Online Courses
Texas Acupuncture Continuing Education Requirements: 17 hours of approved continuing education annually.
Texas Accepts up to 8 hours of NCCAOM approved Online PDA course hours per annual renewal cycle.
Special Requirements:
At least 8 hours annually must be General.
1 hour must be biomedicine.
1 hour must be Ethics.
At least 2 hours must be Herbal Medicine.
No more than 2 of the remaining hours may be Practice Management.
Auricular Detoxification Specialists are required to earn 6 hours of approved Auricular Acupuncture Education annually.
Human Trafficking for Texas Healthcare Practitioners
Health care practitioners who provide direct patient care must complete an approved human trafficking prevention training course in order to renew their license/ ChiroCredit.com/ChiroCredit.com offers a course to meet this requirement that has been approved by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) and meets all required HHSC Human Trafficking Training Standard. This training must be completed by the first license renewal starting with September 1, 2020. This requirement is for each renewal period.
This course meets the State TX Human Trafficking requirement but does not provide NCCAOM Continuing Education credit.
Special Notes:
Continuing Education hours must be earned by November 30 each year.
Texas licensed Acupuncturists may meet their continuing education requirements by taking courses that are offered by a NCCAOM approved PDA provider.
