Michigan Continuing Education Requirements:
PTA: 24 hrs biennially - Michigan Accepts 20 hours of Online Continuing Education Courses
License expires every 2 years based on date of original license.
Special Requirements:
Requires 1 hour of CE in pain management ( ie, courses in behavior management, psychology of pain, pharmacology, behavior modification, stress management, clinical applications, and drug interventions as related to PT)
No more than 12 credit hours may be earned during one 24-hour period for on-line activities
Important update! Starting June 1, 2022, Renewing licensees and registrants are required to complete 1 hour of implicit bias training for each year of their license or registration cycle. New Applicants for licensure or registration are required to have completed 2 hours of implicit bias training within the 5 years immediately preceding issuance of the license or registration.
