Michigan Continuing Education Requirements: 30 hours every 2 years
Michigan Accepts 15 hours of Online Continuing Education Courses and/or TeleSeminars

The Michigan Board of Chiropractic allows a maximum of 12 hours of continuing education in a 24 hour period.

 

Michigan Chiropractic Continuing Education Requirements due by 11/30 every other year. Continuing education requirements are to be met within the two year licensure period, immediately preceding the renewal of the DC's license (CE is due by the second November 30 after initially licensed and every two years thereafter)

 

The vast majority of our courses are automatically accepted as they are facilitated by the University of Bridgeport, Health Sciences Postgraduate Education Department which includes the College of Chiropractic, a CCE accredited College.  Scroll down to view courses.


When logged in, as long as your licenses are entered on your account, each course is clearly identified as being approved or not approved.

 

Special Requirements: Must complete one hour of pain and symptom management (please select courses under Pain Management), one hour of sexual boundaries (please select courses under Boundary Training or Gender and Sensitivity), one hour of ethics (please select courses under Ethics for Professionals) - can do online with our courses.

Two hours of physical measures and two hours on the performance and ordering of tests - must be done at a live, in person program. 

The State of Michigan also requires a one time course in Human Trafficking (see our topic:  Human Trafficking and take Human Trafficking 201) - this is in addition to (not to be included in) your continuing education hours.

 

New Licensee Information: Continuing education is not required during the first licensure cycle, which is less than a full cycle.

 

Reporting Requirements: Licensee affirms CE completion - additional documentation required if audited
