Florida Accepts 10 hours of Online Continuing Education Courses (General Hours)
Important update! In response to the COVID-19 crisis, the Florida Board of Chiropractic Medicine passed an emergency rule on 8/21/2020 to allow ALL 40 HOUR OF CONTINUING EDUCATION THROUGH ONLINE COURSES. The emergency order is for 90 days the Board is moving for a formal rule change that will allow all hours online through the 3/31/2022 biennium.

ChiroCredit.com reports to CE Broker every monday.
Special Requirements: Florida requires 2 hours of Medical Error, 2 hours Laws and Rules, 1 hour Risk Management, 6 hours of Record Keeping/Documentation and Coding and 2 hours of Ethics and Boundaries.
For Chiropractic Physicians with Acupuncture Certification-4 hours in Acupuncture CE, 2 hours in the area of safety and risk management and 2 hours in the area of technique are required. These 4 hours shall be obtained as part of the 40 hours required in each licensure biennium.
NEW Human Trafficking requirement for Florida Department of Health. Licensed healthcare professionals are required to earn 1 hour of Board-Approved CE in Human Trafficking. This is a one-time requirement that licensees must complete before January 1, 2021. Human Trafficking 203 is Approved by the Florida Board of Chiropractic Medicine, CE Broker #20-735648
New Licensees: Chiropractic Physicians initially licensed in the biennium and renewing a license for the first time are required to complete the following:

- Six (6) hours of record keeping/documentation and coding
- Two (2) hours in the area of ethics and boundaries
- Two (2) hour course relating to prevention of medical errors
- Three (3) hours of HIV/AIDS (May be completed online - ChiroCredit.com offers approved HIV/AIDS courses)
Reporting Requirements: CE Sponsor reports to CE broker within 90 Days
