Ohio Board of Dietetics Continuing Education Requirements:
CPE Requirements for Registered Dietitians is continued certification through the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic Association (CDR): seventy-five (75) contact hours every 5 years which also fulfills the licenses renewal requirement. *

CPE Requirements for Licensed Dietitians (non-RDs): For each five year cycle an individual learning plan shall be submitted and approved by the board and a log of learning activities maintained by the licensee. A copy of the log shall be submitted directly to the Ohio board of dietetics postmarked by June thirtieth of the year that the cycle ends, and shall demonstrate successful completion of at least seventy-five (75) continuing professional education units.

On every odd numbered year, each licensee shall report one (1) CPE hour in jurisprudence relating to current laws, rules, and regulations dealing with the practice of dietetics and recent changes that have occurred to those laws, rules, and regulations.

Ohio accepts Online Continuing Education Courses approved by the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic Association (CDR).
