Recertification Requirements for Holistic Nurses
Successful completion of 100 contact hours of Continuing Education in Holistic Nursing within the five years period preceding the date of expiration of the certification period. At least twenty percent (20%) of the contact hours must directly address Holistic Nursing. The remaining contact hours can be related to holistic methods of practice; studies that facilitate self-care and growth; and transformation within a holistic context. Appropriate documentation of continued education (certificates of completion) must be submitted with application for Recertification.
South Carolina Board of Nursing State Continuing Education Requirements:
CE Requirements for RNs: Renewal of an active license biennially requires documented evidence of at least one of the following requirements during the licensure period:
(a) completion of thirty (30) contact hours from a continuing education provider recognized by the board. All hours may be earned on-line;
(b) maintenance of certification or recertification by a national certifying body recognized by the board;
(c) completion of an academic program of study in nursing or a related field recognized by the board; or
(d) verification of competency and the number of hours practiced, as evidenced by employer certification on a form approved by the board;
