Recertification Requirements for Holistic Nurses
Successful completion of 100 contact hours of Continuing Education in Holistic Nursing within the five years period preceding the date of expiration of the certification period. At least twenty percent (20%) of the contact hours must directly address Holistic Nursing. The remaining contact hours can be related to holistic methods of practice; studies that facilitate self-care and growth; and transformation within a holistic context. Appropriate documentation of continued education (certificates of completion) must be submitted with application for Recertification.
Ohio Board of Nursing State Continuing Education Requirements:
CE Requirements for RNs: 24 contact hours of approved CE to renew their license. All hours may be obtained on-line.
Special Notes: A nurse who has been licensed by endorsement for less than or equal to one (1) year must complete twelve (12) contact hours. At least one (1) of the required contact hours must be Category A. The contact hours must be completed within two (2) years prior to renewal. ALL licensee and certificate holders are required to complete at least one contact hour related to Chapters 4723,1-23 of the Ohio nurse practice code and rules.
CE Requirements for LPNs: Same as RN requirements.
