Florida Board of Dietetics and Nutrition Continuing Education Requirements:
CPE Requirements for Licensed Dietitians / Nutritionists: 30 contact hours every two years for LD/Ns and NCs. Continuing Education hours must be reported by May 31 every odd numbered year.

 

Florida accepts 20 hours of Online Continuing Education Courses approved by the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic Association (CDR). OnlineCE.com is a CDR approved provider of continuing professional education for registered dietitians. CDR Provider Number OC001

 

Two (2) hours of the required 30 hours every two years must be on the prevention of medical errors, including a study of root-cause analysis, error reduction and prevention, and patient safety.

 

Three (3) hours of the required 30 hours during the initial 2 year renewal cycle must be on HIV/AIDS education. This is only required for your first renewal.

 

You may not obtain more than 10 hours of education in management, risk management, personal growth, and educational techniques.
