64 yo female patient presents with right groin and right anterior thigh pain
Linda Simon, DC
Ice was applied for the myofascial inflammation as well as cold laser to bring down pain and swelling. Once the pain and swelling were decreased, trigger point ultrasound was used to find and release trigger points in the quadratus femoris, pectineus, adductors, sartorius. Stretching and strengthening exercises for the gluteal muscles as well as the quadriceps were given. Non-force manipulative techniques were applied for any lumbar or pelvic issues that may have arisen from the rebalancing of the lower extremity muscles and fascia. Use of a foam roller at home for trigger points.
