48 yo female with LBP and R Leg Pain
Linda Simon, DC
Since functional testing and palpation was negative for L5 nerve root irritation at the lumbar spine, compression of the sciatic nerve must be considered elsewhere along its path. Nerve compressions and/or elongations are common in the gluteal region. Soft tissues were evaluated at the right gluteal region. It was determined that this patient had a sprained iliolumbar ligament, sprained right sacroiliac joint, sprained right lumbosacral joint and right gluteal and iliopsoas muscle spasms.
Question: Which soft tissue structures would you evaluate in the gluteal region for this patient?
