Continuing Education Requirements for Massage TherapistsThe National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB) is the national governing body responsible for credentialing Massage Therapists. In order to maintain current certification, a Massage Therapist is required to take 48 hours of continuing education (CE) every four years. Six of the 48 hours must be taken in ethics. Forty-eight hours of CE may be earned through NCBTMB Approved Providers.
