District of Columbia (DC) Continuing Education Requirements: Massage Therapist: 12 hours biennially
District of Columbia (DC) Accepts 12 hours of Massage Therapy Online Continuing Education Courses

Special Requirements: 2 hours in ethics and 3 hours in CPR/First Aid.

 

NCBTMB Requirements: 48 hours of continuing education (CE) every four years. Six of the 48 hours must be taken in ethics.

All NCBTMB required continuing education may be met with online continuing education courses.

 


Continuing Education Requirements by NCBTMB

The National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB) is the national governing body responsible for credentialing Massage Therapists. In order to maintain current certification, a Massage Therapist is required to take 48 hours of continuing education (CE) every four years. Six of the 48 hours must be taken in ethics. Forty-eight hours of CE may be earned through NCBTMB Approved Providers. OnlineContinuingEd, LLC is an Approved Provider of the NCBTMB (#422983-00).
